Transforming Clinical Trial Science
Why
Biopharmaceutical clinical research is at a critical inflection point. Despite significant technological advancement over the last decade, clinical trial costs continue to rise, timelines remain protracted, participation rates are stagnant, and success rates remain low.
At the same time, a large portion of the experienced clinical research workforce is nearing retirement, placing institutional knowledge and operational expertise at risk. There is a growing need for a new generation of leaders who think holistically about the clinical trial ecosystem, apply technology thoughtfully, and develop solutions that reduce friction, improve efficiency, and strengthen research quality.
The Foundation for Advancing Clinical Trial Science was established to meet this need through coordinated education, mentorship, and innovation efforts, in partnership with the SAFER Alliance and other industry stakeholders.

Together, they provide strategic oversight, ensure mission alignment, and support the Foundation’s commitment to advancing education, mentorship, and innovation in clinical trial science

FACTS currently partners with the SAFER Alliance to connect workforce development with real-world clinical research practice. While FACTS develops leaders, knowledge, and innovation, the SAFER Alliance applies these advancements across its network of community based clinical research sites.
